Local agents paving the way for new era of growth in Pottsville
Less than two years after opening the doors to the first Witheriff Group office expansion wasn’t part of the early strategic plan. However, when opportunity knocks – you answer the call.
For Witheriff Group Director Nick Witheriff, intentional growth has always been key in the master plan, so when the chance to partner with Shannon and Katie Kofoed to open a Pottsville office – he jumped at the chance.
The Kofoed’s – longtime locals and experts in the Tweed Coast real estate scene – had been operating under the Pottsville Properties banner when they felt the itch to take their business to the next level.
The prospect of partnering with Witheriff Group presented plenty of appealing opportunities to scale their business. Despite their impressive handle on the market with their decades of experience, the backing of Witheriff Group meant they could unlock more resources, scale up their marketing presence and connect with a wider team of professionals.
“The opportunity in that for us to grow out is pretty big,” says Shannon.
“Now we can focus on growth rather than being confined by our capacity.”
Since the doors to Witheriff Group Pottsville opened in February, Katie says the positive effect of this partnership is already being felt.
“We’re excited to learn from the team,” says Katie.
“You know, we’ve been both doing this for a long time now, but you can always learn more and understand different ways of doing things.”
Expansion answering the call for demand.
It’s no secret that Pottsville is undergoing a moment of growth with the Tweed at large experiencing an influx of people moving to the area.
Pottsville is fast becoming an in-demand pocket of the Northern Rivers with a broad spectrum of properties – including beachfront, four-bedroom houses, apartments and acreage – offering affordable variety to buyers.
Statistics taken from Domain reveal that Pottsville is one of the most affordable coastal suburbs in Australian with the median house price sitting just under $1.5 million.
To meet the growing demand in the area, Shannon and Katie Kofoed knew they needed to take their business to the next level to continue servicing the area with a high-level, quality approach.
“Partnering with the Witheriff Group brings Nick’s (Witheriff) experience across the Kingscliff and Casuarina areas and adds a new dimension to our expansion into Pottsville,” says Shannon.
“This extra dimension gives us a broad reach. This is a specialised boutique agency that is focused on doing a great job. We’ve always tried to do work done on a smaller scale, whereas now we’ve got the capacity to be able to do that on a larger scale.”
As Pottsville sits on the cusp of a very tangible boom, the Kofoeds’ and Witheriff Group have partnered at exactly the right time to help usher in this new era.
