Read MoreIn 2022, Uki resident Megan Albany, a proud Kalkadoon woman, debuted her novel “The Very Last List of Vivian Walker.” Inspired by her experience caring for a friend with PTSD and cancer, Megan created a character, Vivian Walker, whose end-of-life journey resonated deeply with readers. The novel’s success led to its adaptation into a one-woman play, praised by audiences. Now, an Australian production company has optioned it for a film. Megan’s creation of Vivian, a highly judgmental yet relatable character, sparked conversations about death and grieving, shedding light on societal judgments. With her husband, Megan also crafted a soundtrack to accompany the book.
